I like reading and traveling most of all but there are many other things I like sticking my nose into. I have secret liking for getting upset about religious and political matters. Those are topics you are likely to find some entries about on my blog in between other things that happen to interest me then and there. Please note that the opinions here are my own and have nothing to do with my employer, family, or friends. More about me |

Political career: A flash of flesh
Frankly, I haven't browsed through what politicians look like. A few years ago I went through British politicians though, trying to determine which one of the women in the parliament was most attractive. I think words such as radiant and charming are best used to describe their looks. Quite nobody had the reason to appear like a succubus on their profile photo.
Anyhow, it reminds me about the stirring (!) in Germany, when Angela Merkel recently visited some venue in a low-cut dress which showed some of her cleavage. It was a bit of shock for many people to see the Bundeskanzler partly display her breasts, and some chauvinist pig commented that he hadn't know that Angela was a woman before she wore the dress. *rolling eyes* Now she is in a such position she has nothing to fear by dressing attractively, but assume it had been a 23 year old woman on the way to make a career in the party. There is a major risk she would've been best remembered for the cleavage than her political work and ideas for the next 10 years.
Besides, didn't you take on a political career last year? Of course it would be too selfish of you to nominate yourself super model quality, or even the best looking in your party. ;-)
