Admitting my sins?

I saw Passion of The Christ yesterday. Hmmmmm.... I still cannot decide if that was a really good movie or just absolutely horrible. The fact that they spoke Aramaic in the movie fooled me a little bit. It gave it a non-Hollywood feel which is good. The main actor was really good and deserves praise for his performance. The torture scenes were... well I don't have any words. They were simply anyone's worst nightmare. The most scary part about those scenes was the enjoyment gloats on the faces of the people torturing Jesus. It gave me chills and reminded me about all the evil in the world. The contrast between the evil of the people torturing Jesus and the pure mother-son love between Jesus and Maria gave a good depth to the movie. The movie definately got me thinking, but did it make me admit my sins?

There were some major drawbacks to the movie. It had a lot of bad actors in smaller roles. They also seemed to have just thrown Monica Bellucci in there just to make sure there at least one pretty face. The torture scenes were also too long and were really close to ruining the entire movie. Sometimes less is better.

All in all I have to rate this movie as Interesting.

And no, to everyones disappointment, the movie did not get to me enough for me to admit to all my sins. Those are still safe with me for a while:-)
