I am an Icelandic mediumgeek who lives in Oslo, Norway. I work at
Opera Software making user interfaces for mobile browsers. I like reading and traveling most of all but there are many other things I like sticking my nose into. I have secret liking for getting upset about religious and political matters. Those are topics you are likely to find some entries about on my blog in between other things that happen to interest me then and there. Please note that the opinions here are my own and have nothing to do with my employer, family, or friends.

good read
Not really on the topic, but I recently read a book I'm pretty sure you will like. Acts of Faith by Philip Caputo. Should be your kind of story.
Thanks!
That does indeed look like a very interesting book! I will add it to my very long "books-I-want-to-read" list:-). Thanks for the recommendation!
Spammers suck
Really. I am considering believing in hell, just for spammers. It would be quite comforting.
Actually, since I am not big on the sort of people who are really nasty to children, I could believe in a bit of hell for them, too. And for the people who think that maybe there is something to the argument that actually people are sexual at many ages, and that there are serious issues that are created by society's definition of paedophile activity.
And I find it reasonable to believe that being true to oneself is virtuous, and that somehow there will actually eventually be a reward for it.
And showing people the truth is always noble, unlike showing them closed-minded claptrap peddled by people who know they are really just defrauding the gullible rich in order to put some food into the mouths of their kids.
Hmm. Or maybe there isn't, and in the end it just doesn't matter, since we are dead...
