This Week's Stupidities - Week 16

It is amazing we are all still alive...Since I rarely have time to write anylonger (and I suspect that nobody is reading anyway) I am simply gonna start posting a collection of what I call this week's stupidities.

Where is atheism when bad things happen
So apperently atheists are bad since they don't show up everytime there is a catastrophy pushing their views and making it all about themselves...

Inconvenient Truth might contain errors (norwegian only)
FRP (one of the biggest Norwegian political parties) joins conservative Christians in the USA not wanting to show "Inconvenient truth" by Al Gore in schools because they fear it might contain factual errors and that the movie exaggerates the problem. Seems like a hidden agenda to me.
Why doesn't some challenge FRP to find the errors? They might actually learn something in the process:).

Update:
I think the Westboro Baptist Church deserves a place on this week's list especially when you consider "Where is atheism when bad things happen". They plan on appearing at services for those killed on Monday in Virginia Tech school shooting protesting against gays. As always this is the gay's fault. Well at least Dinesh D'Souza will be in good company!

Gerður Jónsdóttir

I am an Icelandic mediumgeek who lives in Oslo, Norway. I work at Opera Software trying to make their products easier to use. I like reading and traveling most of all but there are many other things I like sticking my nose into. I have secret liking for getting upset about religious and political matters. Those are topics you are likely to find some entries about on my blog in between other things that happen to interest me then and there. Please note that the opinions here are my own and have nothing to do with my employer, family, or friends.
